Baroness Front Attachments

The Baroness LM56 Greens Mower is more than a mower, it is a greens management tool. This all gear driven mower comes equipped with three front attachments that will allow the standing up of the leaf blade, de-thatch and remove dead leaf material with virtually no surface disruption and work the topdressing into the profile.

Groomer Assembly

LM56 Grooming unit has a total of 78 blades that are 0.020" in thickness. LM66 unit has a total of 92.

Baroness offers you a groomer that performs, and is extremely reliable and efficient. With regular Grooming, you will be able to lower the temperature of the putting green which will help to reduce stress.

De-Thatching Assembly

LM56 De-Thatching unit has a total of 39 blades that are 0.040" in thickness. LM66 unit has a total of 46.

The Baroness De-Thatching attachment gives the Golf Course Superintendent the ability to, De-thatch and Mow at the same time and turning a two person job into a one person job.

Rotary Brush Assembly

The LM Rotary Brush give the Superintendent the ability to work the topdressing into the canopy instead of mowing it off the green.

In the reverse direction works exceptionally well at throwing dried sand forward into the front roller and helping to drive it into the putting surface. While in the forward direction, it helps to pat down wet sand and work it into the putting surface. Both work well to eliminate 80% of the sand going through the reel.

Front Attachment Gear Assembly

The Baroness all gear front attachments assembly is the only bi-directional front attachments in the turf industry. While in use forward or reverse direction with just a turn of the lever.

While not in use, lift up and put in stop position

This is the putting green we will be de-thatching. It is being cut with a Toro 1000.

The operator is mowing and de-thatching the green in one operation. The mower is set in the high clip rate and the de-thatcher is in the reverse direction
This is a close up of the green being de-thatched. The picture is a penny size area of grass taken with a macro setting on the camera. Notice the quality of cut of this green, the dead leaf material and leaf deification from the poor quality of cut. It is also very easy to see the lateral growth which will help hold moisture at the surface.
This picture is to show how small of an area the close up pictures are taken of.
A standard practice of topdressing to deal with thatch just compounds the problem. When amounts of sand as this is present most mowers will dull in a few holes and the quality of cut will diminish.
Here we have de-thatched in one direction. This green is in poor shape with the lateral growth, poor quality of cut and dead leaf material, so we will de-thatch in two directions.
Here we have de-thatched in two directions. It is easy to see the excessive lateral growth in this green even after de-thatching in two directions.
This is the material taken out of green. Look at the long blades of grass and how high the crown of the planet is on some of the grass removed. Also note the amount of dead leaf material removed..
Many grass catchers full of material removed from the green.
Many grass catchers full of material removed from the green.
One more picture to give one the since of how much material was removed from this green. The Baroness is the only mower in the industry that can do this in one operation.

Our aim is to manufacture highly productive products, so as to be able to save you on labor and fuel costs.  And possibly even by being able to reduce the volume of mowers, that you need to maintain your course.

Next we target the upkeep costs, by making a product which requires less maintenance and replacement parts to maintain it.  Offering you savings on parts and labor.

We have designed our products to hold their edge longer, reducing the need for alternative practices for breaking down dead organic material.

We also make mowers with an unrivaled ability to cut more grass than our competition, so that you are only mowing the actual growth off the plant not the leaves which spring back up after being knocked over previously.
